Causes of Coronary Heart Disease
Start With Animal Foods









The causes of coronary heart disease vary according to diet and lifestyle choices. With diet the primary culprit is meat and dairy consumption. And as for lifestyle, smoking leads the way.

Over the years, plaque a fatty-like buildup of cholesterol, toxicities and other waste materials deposit within the inner walls of the coronary arteries. Coronary arteries run along the surface of the heart muscle. They supply oxygen and nutrients via the blood to the heart.

Problems with the arteries affect the heart to eventually cause disease within this muscle.

I have looked at some key sources that identify common causes of coronary heart disease.



1. AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION - Causes of Coronary Heart Disease

The following is from their website.

“Cigarette and tobacco smoke, high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, physical inactivity, obesity and diabetes are the six major independent risk factors for coronary heart disease …

Cigarette smoking increases the risk of coronary heart disease by itself. When it acts with other factors, it greatly increases risk. Smoking increases blood pressure, decreases exercise tolerance and increases the tendency for blood to clot…

Women who smoke and use oral contraceptives greatly increase their risk of coronary heart disease and stroke… Smoking decreases HDL (good) cholesterol. Cigarette smoking combined with a family history of heart disease also seems to greatly increase the risk.”



2. AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION - Causes of Coronary Heart Disease

“Cigarette smoke contains over 4,800 chemicals, 69 of which are known to cause cancer…”

“… Smoking harms nearly every organ in the body, and is a main cause of lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema). It is also a cause of coronary heart disease, stroke and a host of other cancers and diseases.”



3. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF HEALTH – Weight Control Information Network (United States Department of Health and Human Service) - Causes of Coronary Heart Disease

The focus is on the health risks of being overweight. With reference to coronary heart disease and obesity, their educational materials state that overweight people are more likely to develop:

  1. High blood pressure
  2. High levels of triglycerides (blood fats)
  3. High levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol
  4. Low levels of HDL (good) cholesterol

“… These are notable risk factors for heart disease and stroke. In addition, excess body fat—especially abdominal fat—may produce substances that cause inflammation. Inflammation in blood vessels and throughout the body may raise the risk of heart disease.”



4. WEBMD.com - Causes of Coronary Heart Disease

This article is titled “Coronary heart disease and Vegetarianism.” It emphasizes the fact that most health care providers acknowledge “ a low-fat diet high in fruits, vegetables, and nuts can be a boon to health.”

Also, “… reducing or eliminating red meat from the diet lowers the risk of heart disease.”

It further states that “… a plant-based diet can improve the health of people with type 2 diabetes.” Also, “…people with diabetes who followed a low-fat vegan diet had less of a need for diabetes medications.”

Specific doctors I know of are Dr Dean Ornish, Dr Caldwell B Esselstyn, Jr and Dr Lester Morrison. They all were successful in applying plant-based nutrition as the treatment of choice in reversing cardiovascular heart diseases in their patients. In the United States, the Framingham Heart Study scientifically proved blood pressure, cholesterol, smoking, obesity, and lack of exercise as key high risk factors for heart disease.



5. EMEDICINEHEALTH.com - Causes of Coronary Heart Disease

This website identifies the most common risk factors as heredity, high cholesterol, tobacco abuse, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, lack of exercise high-fat diet and emotional stress.

Sickness is the convergence of several debilitating health factors fueled by the consumption of carcinogenic protein inputs from animal foods.

Now, factor in further toxic chemical residues of plant-based, scientifically created, refined foods…

… the packaged “designer foods” on the grocery shelves that are easily accessible – everywhere!

The outcome of such a diet…?

A solution of biochemical bodily fluids, suitable for the overgrowth and spread of bacterial and parasitic proteins.

And what’s the pattern here of the causes of coronary heart disease?

Clearly… DIETARY and LIFESTYLE HABITS.

Eating pineapple fruits is not one of the causes of coronary heart disease.
