Ground flax seeds are low in sodium and are an excellent source of Omega-3 fats. Add flax seeds to your smoothies, shakes, salads, cereals or soups.

Beans are a great source of protein. Just remember to cook them without salt. Instead use sea vegetables and culinary herbs.

Become familiar with low-salt foods. Get a good low-sodium cookbook and replace your customary table salt with a top quality sea salt that you should sparingly use.

Plant-based whole foods have a naturally occurring balance of alkaline minerals like sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium that are supportive of healthy blood pressure levels.
